(NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown volleyball team has won at least one match at the state tournament in each of the last four trips with a 3-1 (30-28, 22-25, 25-14, 25-16) victory over Red River in the seventh place match.

“Not many teams get to end their season on a win and that’s something we really wanted to do today,” said Coach Sarah Hegerle after the match.

Jamestown staved off four set points, including three in-a-row, to win set one. The Riders came back strong in set two, but after that the Jays took over.

The Jays lose six seniors, but will bring back a very solid core next year.
