N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Negotiations between Interstate Engineering and one landowner have stalled the road from the city to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

During the recent City Council meeting, community member Barb Lang expressed concerns over information released on negotiations having come to a stop. Jamestown Mayor Katie Andersen stated that the project is still moving forward.

Although the current route was what the landowner had issues with, Mayor Andersen pointed out that the city should consider a plan B that could very well include a different route on the same property.

Travis Dillman with Interstate Engineering stated that other routes were being looked at as alternatives, such as 37th Street or the road past Wal-Mart.

As that area develops, Dillman believes that those routes might be looked at in the future, but the road to the hospital is the first priority.
