N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Public Service Commissioner Brian Kalk is raising concerns about Xcel Energy’s latest statements concerning wind power.
In a recent news release, Xcel said it has plans to build four new wind farms. Three would be built in Minnesota, but one of them would be in Dickey County, North Dakota.
Kalk also takes issue with Xcel’s claims that customers would save “millions of dollars” over 20 years with these projects.
Klak says he wants to have the company come before the Commission – and further explain what its vision is.
The Dickey County wind farm is dubbed “Foxtail Wind.” It would be built by NextEra Energy.
