N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Highway Patrol arrested a Gwinner man following a fatal hit and run Friday near Lisbon.
Captain Bryan Niewind said 44 year-old Ilina Valkova of Lisbon was walking along the state Highway 32 when she was struck from behind by a pickup.
Niewind said 30 year-old Paul Vincent of Gwinner fled the scene but was arrested later in Cooperstown. He said Vincent concealed his vehicle after the crash.
Through the cooperation of several law enforcement agencies and witnesses, investigators identified and arrested Vincent without incident. He faces a felony charge of leaving the scene of a fatal crash and is in the Barnes County Jail.
