JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Several Democratic-NPL candidates for numerous state and federal positions were in Jamestown Wednesday, giving one last minute push as the national election day approaches.

Gubernatorial Candidate Marvin Nelson was part of the press conference at the Gladstone Inn & Suites and opened with the fact that North Dakota was already facing a huge shortfall in the state budget.

He reported that we will be starting this biennium around $200 million dollars in the hole. He also stated that cuts are detrimental to critical access care in North Dakota.

Nelson pointed out that throughout the campaign, his opponent Doug Burgum is against Obamacare, but recently made statements that he would consider being for it.

He also mentioned that Burgum uses trickle down economics.

The final day of early voting is this Friday. The official vote day is November 8th.
