(NewsDakota.com) The 2016 Class 9 Man Region I All-Region team was announced Monday. Players were voted on by the region’s coaches.
Hankinson saw senior Cody Mauch, junior Mason Falk, junior Race Kath, junior Devan Round, and senior Ryan Biewer make the list, with senior Nick Mauch, sophomore Hayden Boll and sophomore Jaxon Mauch listed as honorable mentions.
From Wyndmere-Lidgerwood, junior Charlie Moffet, junior Wyatt Harles, senior Aaron Bell, junior Luke Foertsch, senior Alix Wisnewski, and junior Andres Vasquez were selected. Honorable mentions went to junior Ismael Vasquez, junior Hunter Churchill and senior Gabe Chavez.
Richland was represented by senior Jake Ihland, senior Austin Roob, sophomore Hunter Lentz and senior Cooper Lingen. Sophomore Blake Loomis, freshman Carter Lingen and sophomore Trenton Dufner were Honorable Mention selections.
From Hatton-Northwood, senior Lucas Mohn, junior Ben Johnson, junior Jamie Gorres, and junior Thomas Myszkowsi earned All-Region recognition. Honorable Mentions went to senior Colby Rostvet, junior Colton Rostvet and sophomore Andrew Gorres.
Finley-Sharon/Hope-Page saw seniors John Lee, Ethan Brown and Carson Fetting,
and freshman Jack Irhy named to the team. Senior Dillon Erickson, sophomore Xavier Jacoson and senior Jackson Kamrud were named Honorable Mentions.
From Mayville-CG, senior Rylee Groth, freshman Dawson Sedivec, sophomore Tristian Beck, junior Preston Edinger, and sophomore Reese Hanson were selected, with Honorable Mentions going to senior Marvin Pascal, junior Kade Eillott and freshman Sammy Satrom.
LaMoure-Litchville/Marion was represented by seniors Levi Hirschkorn and Landon Smith along with sophomore Shay Ness.
Sargent Central’s seniors Justin Lehmann and Drew Wittich were selected and juniors Cole Chapman along with Christian Siemieniewski were honorable mentions.
Cody Mauch of Hankinson, and Jake Ihland of Richland were named Co-Region I Senior Athletes Of The Year, and Hankinson’s Jason Monilaws was named Region I Coach Of The Year.
