N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The University of Jamestown Theater department will present their production of “9 to 5”, based on 1980 Dolly Parton movie with the same name.

The musical is being director by University of Jamestown Theater Director Mike McIntyre and will have showings this Thursday, Friday and Saturday. McIntyre says the comedy features three women who band together to take down their sexist boss.

McIntyre says the Broadway version of the movie is a little different, but the entire score is written by Parton herself.

Alexis Martinson is a Senior at the University and will be playing a lead role in the production.

The cast of the musical will be accompanied by a live orchestra, conducted by Dr. Richard Walentine. The show begins at 7:30 PM all three nights.
