CITY, ND – (NewsDakota.com) A check for ,000 from the North Dakota Community Foundation will allow the City Park Concession Stand Restoration project to reach its fundraising goal of more than ,000 and move forward with the project.

Wick Construction was awarded the contract. The work has started after the concession stand was removed from its concrete slab and a new one will be built in the same location.

Restoration co-event coordinator Becky Heise said thanks to grants and the generous donations from several members in the community who all helped to make this project possible.

Last year, the Concession Stand restoration project was awarded a $15,000 Cultural Heritage Grant from the State Historical Society for the project in Valley City.
