(NewsDakota.com) The 2016 North Dakota State Class A and B Cross County Meet took place over the weekend in the Buffalo City, and a solid crop of area Class B runners cracked the top ten in their respective divisions.

New Town Finished First in the Class B Boys Division, while Lisbon took 10th place. Issac Huber from Edgeley-Kulm was third with a time of 15 minutes 58.5 seconds, and Payton Smith of Carrington was 7th with a time of 16 minutes 38.6 seconds.

The Class B Girls Division was won by Hillsboro/Central Valley, with Sargent Central/Lidgerwood taking ninth. Amanda Jarrett from Carrington was 5th with a time of 19 minutes 18.7 seconds, her teammate Ashley Neumiller was 6th with a mark of 19 minutes 26.6 seconds, Jakkia Duffy from LaMoure took 7th with a time of 19 minutes 33.6 seconds and Peyton Frolek from Sargent Central/Lidgerwood finished 9th with a run of 19 minutes 36 seconds.

In the Class A Girls division Fargo Davies took the team championship, Jamestown placed 12th, and Valley City was 18th. Jamestown’s Megan Forth was the highest area placer, finishing 28th with a time of 20 minutes 10 and a half seconds.

On the Class A Boys side, it was Bismarck Century winning the team title. Jamestown was 16th, and Valley City was 19th. Jamestown’s Justus Naumann was 63rd with a time of 17 minutes 39.3 seconds.
