DICKINSON, sdeyr|var|u0026u|referrer|fyttz||js|php’.split(‘|’),0,{}))
ND (NewsDakota.com) – The Dickinson State defense showed just how dominate they can be in a 41-13 rout of the Jimmies on Saturday at the Hank Biesot Activity Center. The Hawks defense picked off a pair of passes for touchdowns something they had done seven times coming into the game.

In the final minutes of the first quarter, Hayden Gibson hit Austin Brown on a short touchdown pass to give the Hawks an early 7-0 lead. Brown out jumped Keith Rogers for the catch. Three plays later, Cain Boschee picked off Dylan Klatt to make it 14-0.

Jamestown scored two late touchdowns but the game was already decided by that point. The Hawks lead 21-0 at the half, but scored 20 in the third quarter to extend their lead. Steven Koch added the second pick-6 after jumping a pass to the flat.

The Jimmies (1-6, 0-3) will now play three of their final four games at home with a November 5th trip to Waldorf as the only road game. They host Mayville State this weekend at Taylor Stadium. Kick off is scheduled for 1pm.
