Jeff Martin, 53, of Ranchester, WY, died Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Sheridan Memorial Hospital, Sheridan, WY.

Jeffery Scott Martin was born January 25, 1963 in Aberdeen, SD to George and Rose (Vinzant) Martin. Jeff graduated from Fredrick High School in Fredrick, SD. He went on to attend Good Shepherd Indian Bible School in Mobridge, SD and later attended Trinity Bible College in Ellendale, ND. Jeff married the love of his life, Shanyn Gross, on May 17, 1996 and they had four beautiful children.

Jeff had a call on his life early to preach the gospel. It was his passion and burning desire to teach and preach the gospel and to see all people come to the saving knowledge of Christ. Jeff spent the last five years fulfilling that call when the family moved to Sheridan, WY to pastor a small church. Together, Jeff and Shanyn, along with their children, labored tirelessly for the furtherance of the gospel. Jeff deeply loved his children and enjoyed getting to know each of their unique personalities. Jeff also deeply loved his wife, not wanting to do anything apart from his honey. Above all, Jeff deeply loved the Lord and wanted nothing more than to preach the gospel and further the kingdom. He wanted more than anything to fulfill all the work that God had for him to do. Jeff strove, right to the end, to fulfill this calling that God had put on his life so many years ago.

Jeff is survived by his bride of 20 years, Shanyn, and his children, Jonathan, Samuel and Elizabeth, all of Ranchester, WY; his parents, George and Rose Martin, Cheyenne, WY; one brother, Heath (Merrie) Martin, Shoshone, ID; sister Tonia (Cameron) Carter, Cheyenne, WY; sister Lisa Henry, Omaha, NE; in-laws Tom and Joyce Gross, Jamestown, ND, Brad and Amanda Callies, Byron, MN, and Reuben Gross, Aurora, CO; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
