N.D. (NewsDakota.com)—–The Carrington girls volleyball picked up its twentieth win of the season with no losses defeating Barnes County North 3-0 (25-8, 25-20, 25-18). The Cards got off to a hot start in the opening set winning 25-8 and cruised to the 3 set victory. Maara Nelson led 6 different Cardinal girls with 10 kills.  Carmen Pederson added 6 kills, Emerson Hoornaert and Kaedyn Mehring had 5 kills. The Cards had another great night at the service line (69-72), good for 96%. Emma Rost led the Cards with 3 aces, Pederson and Abigail Jarrett added 2 aces.

BCN was paced by Hannah Wilson’s match high 13 kills and Jayda Haugen added 6 kills. The Bison struggled at the service line (36-48), 75%.

 

Carrington improved to 20-0 overall and 4-0 in District 5, and BCN dropped to 6-9-1 overall and 1-4 in District 5 play. Carrington will host Kidder County on Thursday night at 7:00 P.M. and the match will be aired on AM 1600 KDAK and www.newsdakota.com
