N.D. (NewsDakota.com)—–The Carrington Cardinals volleyball team defeated the Lamoure Loboes 3-0 (25-23, 25-13, 25-22) improving their season record to 17-0 (3-0 in District 5). The Cardinals recorded 39 kills and 10 blocks in the victory. Maara Nelson led Carrington with 16 kills and also added a pair of aces at the service line. Carmen Pederson added 11 kills and 4.5 blocks, and Kaedyn Mehring added 6 kills and 2 blocks. The Cards connected on 69-73 serves, good for 95% in the match.

The Loboes were paced by Junior all-stater Anna Holen with a match high 23 kills and 2 aces. Younger sister Ellie Holen added 6 kills before leaving the match in the third set with an ankle injury. The Loboes were 56-60 serving, good for 93%. With the loss, Lamoure drops to 11-3 overall and 2-1 in District 5 play.

Carrington will host Ellendale next Tuesday night (27th). The match will be aired on 1600 AM KDAK and at www.newsdakota.com
