JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – On Saturday, the dead rose to walk once more. But it was all for a good cause.

The Jamestown Zombie Crawl was created four years ago to raise funds for the James River Humane Society and Prairie Paws Rescue. Co-founder Johnny Jerome stated before the event that they expected anywhere between 40 to 50 people to participate.

Jerome stated that they missed the Zombie Crawl in Fargo, so they created this one in Jamestown.

Participants dressed up as Zombies and helped to raise funds for both animal organizations. A final number of how much was raised will be released at a later date.
