(NewsDakota.com) – It was the Dillion Turner Show on Saturday afternoon at Rollie Greeno Field. The Dakota Wesleyan junior QB accounted for seven touchdowns as his Tigers routed the Jimmies 55-17.
For the first thirty minutes the two teams played a very competitive football game. Jamestown answered the first two DWU scoring drives with one of their own. Dylan Klatt hooked up with JaRiquez Collier on a 39-yard touchdown and then Keldrick Sullivan scored his fourth touchdown of the year to tie the game at 14.
The Tigers marched down to take the halftime lead with 13 seconds left at 21-14 and they dominated the contest from there. They outscored UJ 34-3 in the second half.
With DWU leading 28-14 and back in the red zone, Jimmie safety Kaleb Garcia was ejected for a targeting call on a hit to WR Dustin Livingston. Garcia is one of the Jimmies most important players and he will have to miss the first half against Hastings next week.
The Jimmies fall to 1-2 on the year and will head to Nebraska to play Hastings next week. Kick-off is at 1pm.
