N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Arts Center and City Forester have teamed up for an Arbor Day celebration tomorrow.
Arbor Day is typically held the first Friday in May in North Dakota, but the two teamed up to hold a tree planting event in the Jamestown Arts Park on September 13th.
Executive Director Cyndi Wish says they were contacted by Jamestown City Forester Sheri Steckler to do this event.
They plan to start planting trees at around 3:00 PM Tuesday afternoon. Wish says residents can feel free to stop by anytime to help plant, ask questions and even view the progress of the large sculpture being built.
