N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department has released their run report for the days between August 19th and September 1st.

Jamestown Fire Chief Jim Reuther reports that there have been a total of 203 calls to service this year in Jamestown. In 2015, the department responded to a total of 296 calls. Fire crews were called to several incidents through the month including a person trapped in an elevator, a car submerged in water in LaMoure, and a fire at the Buffalo Motel.

Call No. 194 August 19th, 3:20PM, ready squad responded to 419 5th St NE, Multi Family Dwelling, to the report of a person/s trapped in the elevator. Firefighters rescued one person from the elevator. Cause-power outage. No injuries reported. Time out 45 minutes.

Call No. 195 August 19th, 7:00PM, ready squad responded to 502 24th St SW, My Place, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-burnt food. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 30 minutes.

Call No. 196 August 23rd, 7:19PM, ready squad responded to 2404 Circle Drive, NDSH-Tompkins Building, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-accidental alarm activation. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 20 minutes.

Call No. 197 August 24th, 11:45AM, ready squad responded to 2605 Circle Drive, NDSH-Lahaug Building, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-accidental alarm activation. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 25 minutes.

Call No. 198 August 25th, 4:26PM, Stutsman County Dive team responded to Lake Lamoure, in Lamoure County, to a vehicle in the water unknowing if anyone was in the vehicle. Vehicle was located and divers searched the car, know person/s were in the vehicle. No injuries reported. Time out 4 hours 20 minutes.

Call No. 199 August 29th, 10:15AM, ready squad responded to 907 Thomas Ave NE, Garage, to a report of an odor of gasoline. Firefighters checked the outside of the garage area and there appeared to be hint of gasoline smell coming from inside of the garage. Occupant was going to be contacted to check it out. Time out 15 minutes.

Call No. 200 August 29th, 5:13PM, fire department responded to 1530 6th Ave NW, Buffalo Motel, to a report of smoke coming from storage shed. Firefighters extinguished a small fire and investigated. Cause-undetermined. No injuries reported. Time out 45 minutes.

Call No. 201 August 29th, 10:23PM, ready squad responded to 6000 College Lane, Seibold Hall, to investigate a smell of odor. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-unknown. Time out 50 minutes.
