N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – School has started for most in North Dakota and others are thinking about the fall and winter hunting season in North Dakota.

According to the North Dakota Game & Fish Department, Dove season is set to begin September 1st, Deer Archery season will open September 2nd, and both the Pronghorn and Swan Hunt lotteries were held. State Biologist Doug Leier stated that with that in mind, hunters need to limber up before heading out.

Leier pointed out that some hunters have a mindset of being invincible and being able to just go out and start walking. But, there should be a different process when it comes to preparing for the hunt.
