N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Adam Gehlhar is prepared for the first day of school and the first year as the new principal at Jamestown High School.

Adam is a Jamestown native and was hired into the position on July 1st, taking over for Bill Nold. Gehlhar has experience in administration having served as the Cheney Middle School Assistant Principal and earlier at West Fargo High School.

Gehlhar reports that Jamestown High School has roughly 668 students registered for the upcoming school year.

He pointed out that they expect some variance in those numbers as the school year goes on. Principal Gehlhar mentioned that some discussion has already taken place with the current staff on things they’d like to focus on in the future.

One of those future ideas would be trying to initiate a Capstone project with local government and businesses for kids in the high school.

Gehlhar stated that with all plans, it’ll take sometime before it becomes initiated.

School starts today for the Jamestown School District. You can contact Principal Gehlhar at 701-952-4003 if you have any questions.
