N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department was called to the Legacy Center shortly after 3 PM Friday to a woman reportedly trapped in an elevator that had stopped working.

Fire crews arrived on scene to find that the woman became trapped due to an electrical power outage. According to the report, the elevator had stopped between the second and third floors, which was roughly one foot below the third floor. The key to manually open the elevator doors was retrieved and the woman was freed.

The woman was not injured during the incident. Firefighters cleared the scene after nearly 30 minutes.
