N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – During the Local & Regional Issues Meeting in Jamestown, Executive Director of Jamestown Tourism Searle Swedlund reported on a new thing they’re working on.
Audio tours will be something in the community in the coming months. Created by Jamestown Toursim, the audio will provide a feature to self-guided tours of Jamestown. Such as the World’s Largest Buffalo.
Swedlund stated during the meeting that numbers would be provided at points of interest for tourists and residents to type into their phones and hear a background story on that specific building or monument.
The Tourism-owned audio trail will allow the department to view what monuments and sites are more visited and listened to, providing more in depth analytics.
Signs will be placed at the areas of interest. There was no date given on when the technology would be fully functioning.
