N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Department of Agriculture is encouraging state residents to eat locally grown foods.
Doug Goehring has been the North Dakota Agriculture Commissioner since 2009. He travels the state and visits local farmers markets, discussing the importance of residents eating locally. Jamestown’s Farmers Market is held each Saturday and Wednesday.
Goehring will not be able to make Saturday’s market in Jamestown. He says even if you go to a local farmers market and don’t buy, it’s still important to learn how much goes into farming and gardening and how we get our locally grown food from local farmers.
Jamestown’s markets are held Saturday’s from 9 AM to 12 PM and Wednesdays from 5 PM to 7 PM at the Jamestown Civic Center parking lot. The market is held from July through October.
