N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Carrington City Mayor Neil Fandrich gave his thoughts on several items in the Central City.
During an interview segment on AM1600 KDAK with Greg Grenz, Mayor Fandrich gave his thoughts on the continued work by the newly formed Carrington Garden Club and some future projects they had in mind.
When discussion on the roundabout came up, Mayor Fandrich reported that construction was moving along at a nice pace.
When asked about damages that occurred at a local residents home from the heavy storms that hit the area, Mayor Fandrich stated that several individuals attended their Public Works meeting. He stated that individuals affected by the storms and damages should file a claim through the city.
The City Engineer reported that the city’s storm sewers were designed to take on roughly one inch of water per hour, but the heavy rains dropped that much and more in 30 minutes. Mayor Fandrich says City Works has been busy following the storms.
The Agroliquid Waterline was approved by the city as well. Mayor Fandrich said that work would begin on getting a waterline connected to them from Carrington.
During the meeting, the Carrington Fire Department provided a report. Mayor Fandrich gave the latest details on their projects and what they’ve been up to the past month.
City Auditor Heather Carr also announced her resignation from the city. Mayor Fandrich said she will help train in the new Auditor.
