William Murray, 76, Jamestown, ND died Friday, August 5, 2016 at his home in Jamestown, ND.

Arlan was born September 7, 1939 at Wanner, SD, the son of Felix and Elva June (Berkley) Murray. He attended school and graduated from Wanner High School in 1957.

He entered the US Navy August 21, 1957. He served at the US Naval Station at Long Beach, CA, and was discharged September 1, 1960 with the rank of RM-3.

He and Mary Ann Jung were married in 1962. They made their home in Aberdeen where he worked at Aberdeen Glass. They later divorced. He worked at Viking Glass until becoming a driver for Pepsi and tending bar at the Eagles in Aberdeen. In 1984 he moved to Jamestown and he started Stutsman County Glass. He and Darlene Rozell were married in 2005 and made their home in Wanner, SD. He later returned to Jamestown for his retirement.

He is survived by 2 sons, Scott Murray, Jamestown, ND, and Tom (Pennie) Murray, Aberdeen, SD; 2 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Karen (Iran) Johnson, Grand Forks, ND, and Kathleen (Larry) Carr, Phoenix, AZ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son Blaine, 1 daughter in infancy and his brother Felix.

Funeral Service – 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at the Haut Funeral Chapel in Jamestown, ND, with Chaplain Kathleen Heller, officiating
