(NEWSDAKOTA.COM)-Nate Rodriguez turned in another strong outing to lift Valley City Post 60 over Bismarck 3-0 on the 2nd day of The Class A State Legion Tournament in Dickinson. Rodriguez went the distance with 7 strike outs scattering 3 hits. Bismarck put runners on board to lead off the top of the 7th and Rodriguez recorded a strike out and induced 2 ground outs to end the game.
Post 60 had 4 hits, Jesse Johnson went 2 for 3 with an RBI. Justin Manson and Reese Huschka also had RBIs. Dawson Dietrich, Devin Anderson and Drew Oberlander each scored a run. Valley City plays again Friday at 7pm central against either Wahpeton or Beulah.
