CITY, ND – (NewsDakota.com) The Valley City Area Chamber of Commerce will host a public forum featuring three mayoral candidates on August 25 in the Hi-Liner Activity Center in Valley City at 7pm.

Dave Carlsrud, Janice Clark Klein and Scott Sandvik are the candidates running for mayor of Valley City in the September 15th election to fill out the remaining two year term of former Mayor Bob Werkhoven.

Chamber Executive Director Kay Vinje says citizens may submit questions for the candidates by email at chamber@valleycitychamber.com or by phone at 845-1891.

Valley City Administrative Assistant Becki Andersen says anyone interested in voting absentee should call the City Hall office in Valley City for more information. She says absentee ballots are not available at the courthouse, only at city hall office in Valley City.

For those who want to vote in person the polls will be open September 15th from 7am to 7pm in the Valley City hall commission chambers.
