N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Regional Airport might become a new location for Valley Med Flight air ambulance operations.
The Grand Forks-based company is looking at making a decision to purchase a hangar on the airports property. Jamestown Airport Manager Samuel Seafeldt stated that the company locating on their campus would be great.
“(It) adds jobs to the community with 4 FT pilots, 4 FT air EMTs, 1 FT helicopter mechanic, 2 PT air EMT’s,” Seafeldt pointed out. “The mother company is ARMG, but it would specifically be Valley Med Flight that has shown interest. They have shown interest in buying the airports largest hangar which has the closest access to our West aviation apron.”
The offered purchase agreement is in the amount of $210,000. A decision on moving forward with the project is expected sometime in August.
