N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – In June 2016, three projects received loans from the Clean Water State Revolving Loan Fund (CWSRF). They include Arnegard, Hebron and LaMoure.

The State Department of Health reports that the SWSRF awarded funding to Arnegard for $380,000 towards their $3.4 million project to build a new three cell lagoon system that will provide adequate treatment of the city’s wastewater. Hebron received $682,000 towards their $4.1 million project for a sanitary sewer pipe, manholes, PVC pipe, and service to 70 existing connections.

LaMoure recieved $1,425,000 towards a $5.3 million project for sanitary sewer pipe replacement, manhole relining or replacement, asphalt and concrete paving, seeding, and site restoration which will assure the safe conveyance of the city’s wastewater.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency provides part of the funding for the CWSRF Program, which offers below-market interest rate loans to political subdivisions for financing projects authorized under the Clean Water Act. CWSRF programs operate nationwide to provide the funding necessary to maintain and improve the infrastructure that protects valuable water resources.
