N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department had a busy two weeks for calls for the beginning of July.

According to the latest report from Fire Chief Jim Reuther, the Department has had a total of 151 calls they’ve responded too. In the report, calls include the emergency landing of a plan, fireworks-caused grass fires, and assisting in the recovery of a drowning victim at Lake Pactola in South Dakota.

The department responded to 296 total calls in 2015. You can find the calls for the department between July 1st and July 14th below.

Call No. 141 July 1st, 1:56PM, fire department responded to 1600 21st Ave NE, Jamestown Regional Airport, to a report of a small plane coming in on fire. Airport firefighters checked the plane over and stood by until the all clear was given. Cause-unknown. No injuries reported. Time out 40 minutes.

Call No. 142 July 1st, 10:00PM, ready squad responded to 2404 Circle Drive, NDSH-Tompkins Building, to investigate smoke alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-cooking. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 20 minutes.

Call No. 143 July 3rd, 10:29PM, fire department responded to the area 1438 11th St SE, Empty Lot, to a report of a grass fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire and investigated. Cause-fireworks. No injuries reported. Time out 35 minutes.

Call No. 144 July 5th, 5:49PM, fire department responded to I-94 Mile Marker 260 East Bound, to a report of a grass fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire and investigated. Cause-accident. No injuries reported. Time out 30 minutes.

Call No. 145 July 8th, 3:12PM, fire department responded to 2619 8th Ave SW, Strip Mall, to a report of smoke. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-electrical malfunction of some type. Occupant was advised to have electrical looked at. One injury was reported. Time out 40 minutes.

Call No. 146 July 10th, 11:38PM, ready squad responded to 222 1st Ave S., Multi Family Dwelling, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-power outage. Time out 1 hour 20 minutes.

Call No. 147 July 11th, 8:02AM, ready squad responded to 222 1st Ave S., Multi Family Dwelling, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-systems malfunction. Time out 50 minutes.

Call No. 148 July 12th, 10:45AM, fire department responded to 1014 Thomas Ave NE, Vehicle, to a report of a vehicle on fire in a garage. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-over heated. No injuries reported. Time out 15 minutes.

Call No. 149 July 12th, 5:00PM, Stutsman County Remote Operated Team responded to Rapid City, South Dakota to assist in the recovery of a drowning victim at Lake Pactola. Time out 28 hours.

Call No. 150 July 13th, 5:54PM, ready squad responded to 516 3rd St SW, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate odor smell. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-unknown. Time out 25 minutes.
