CITY, ND (NewsDakota.com) – A Moorhead, Minnesota man was uninjured after the pickup he was driving ran into the back of a North Dakota DOT tractor mowing the shoulder of the road along Interstate 94 on July 13th around 2:25pm and rolled once.

Barnes County Chief Deputy Don Fiebiger says motorists told the Highway Patrol that a red pickup was weaving in the eastbound lane of I-94 before the crash.

Highway Patrol Sgt. Tom Herzig says the driver, 30 year-old Jeff Powers of Moorhead, was suffering from sleep deprivation before the crash 8 miles east of Valley City.

Bruce Moritz, 57, of Valley City was injured. He was transported to a hospital, treated and released for non-life threatening injuries. The crash remains under investigation with the North Dakota Highway Patrol and the Barnes County Sheriff’s office.
