N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Dickey County Emergency Manager Charlie Russell is sending thanks to those who assisted in the search for the missing 18 month-old Thursday afternoon.

“It shows how quickly your life can change. When you see one of your volunteer Fire, Ambulance, or Law Enforcement, give them a hearty thanks for what they do.” Russell stated.

Drones, airplanes and dozens of volunteers searched several hours for DJ, the missing 18 month-old. The toddler was only wearing a diaper when he was found alive and well by ground searchers.

Russell thanked local men who donated their planes and fuel to help search, the Brown County Emergency Management Office, several Sheriff’s Departments, the North Dakota Highway Patrol and local city crews for their help.

“I wanted the public to know what kind and amount of assets from our city, county, ND State, neighboring counties, our special friends in Brown County who are always there with their assets, manpower and support and all the civilian volunteers.” Russell pointed out.

Roughly 60 people were involved in the search.
