N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Two individuals were injured after striking the passenger side of a semi Wednesday morning near Gwinner.
The 2012 Peterbilt was traveling westbound on State Highway 13 and attempted to make a right hand turn from Highway 32 into the elevator 2 miles east of Gwinner. As the semi was turning, a 1985 Chevy Celebrity tried passing the semi on its right side and struck the passenger side. Both occupants of the Chevy needed to be extricated from the vehicle.
Driver Andrea Sorby Robertson, 43, and Majorie Robertson, 83, were transported to Essentia Health in Fargo by Life Flight and treated for serious, but non-life threatening injuries. Semi driver Jason Heebink, 46, was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
