N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Being a councilwoman on the Jamestown City Council is nothing new for Pam Phillips.
Phillips was the first woman elected to the Jamestown City Council in 1996 and once more in 2002. During the June 14th primary, she was re-elected to serve on the council. She says she brings a new perspective to the council.
Phillips says she’s very excited to be voted back on to serve the City.
Phillips will be taking over the seat of longtime City Councilman and former Jamestown Mayor Charlie Kourajian.
When asked what her primary focus will be once she’s sworn in on June 28th, Phillips pointed out that infrastructure for the community was sorely lacking.
Phillips will serve as Councilwoman for the city for the next 4 years. She said she is open and available for all residents to contact her with any questions or concerns.
