JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A traditional style created and developed to share Celtic history and music will be coming to Jamestown.

Acclaimed Celtic fingerstyle guitarist Jerry Barlow will be bringing his work to Jamestown on June 23rd. Barlow pointed out where Celtic fingerstyle guitar originated from.

Scott Beach, Director of Colorado Celtic Entertainment, states that Jerry brings traditional Celtic tunes alive by sharing the history, humor and legends behind the music.

“[Jerry Barlow is] a performer who is skilled, funny, and riveting. Out of many musicians performing today, the vast majority are skilled in either performing on their instrument or in entertaining an audience. It’s very rare and extremely enjoyable to see a musician at the very top of his craft in both areas.” Beach states.

Barlow states that the history is what really drew him to this style of music.

Jerry is from Golden, Colorado and was in Jamestown for a concert before. He said that his last performance in the Buffalo City made him want to come back.

Tickets can be purchased at the Jamestown Arts Center and are available for $10 for members and $15 for non-members. You can hear some of Jerry’s works in the video below or by visiting www.jerrybarlow.com.
