N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Roughly 4% of all Stutsman County voters made their voices heard early on during early and absentee voting.

According to Stutsman County, 793 people have cast their votes in early and absentee voting. Most of the votes have come from Jamestown residents, but individuals in Buchanan, Montpelier, Ypsilanti, Medina, and Spiritwood have all had residents vote.

The official primary will begin tomorrow. Several positions will be decided including the Republican governor’s race, Jamestown City Council, Stutsman County Commission and Jamestown Public School board.

Voters will also decide on state Measure 1, which is known as the corporate farming law. Stutsman County residents will decide on County Measure 1, which will determine if the State’s Attorney position becomes an appointed office or remain an elected on.
