CITY (NewDakota.com) – Jamestown College earned a sweep of Dickinson State on Saturday during the DAC Tip Off Tournament in Valley City.

Bridget Schuneman scored 22 points and pulled down 10 rebounds, and Amber Ramlo scored 19 points as Jamestown’s women defeated Dickinson State 75-66.

The Jimmies knocked down five 3’s in the first half to take a 35-31 lead into the break. Kellie Schuneman added 12 points in the victory. Ramlo went 4-for-7 from 3-point range, and had 12 rebounds to go with her 19 points.

Yianna Nadeau led Dickinson with 19 points.

The Jimmie women improve their record to 19-3 this season. They will take on Valley City State at 4 p.m. Sunday for the championship of the DAC Tip Off Tournament in Valley City.

In the men’s game Saturday, Byron Jones scored 15, Travis Burley dropped 12 and Drew Preiner added 11 for the Jimmie men, who earned a 60-55 win against the Blue Hawks.

Jamestown trailed 32-28 at the half before outscoring Dickinson by nine points in the second half.

Jamestown improves its record to 18-4 and will take on Mayville State in the tournament championship Sunday at 6 p.m.

Both the Jamestown College games Sunday will be broadcast on KQDJ 1400 AM/97.1 FM and streamed live on www.newsdakota.com starting with the women’s pregame at about 3:45 p.m.
