(NewsDakota.com) A house caught fire late Friday morning along Dickey County Highway 3, 14 miles west of Oakes, or near Fullerton.

Oakes Fire Chief Jerry Hollingsworth says the Department, along with the Dickey County Sheriff’s office responded to the residence owned by Warren Godfrey around 11:30 a.m.

Reports were that the fire started in the upper part of the home, and Hollingsworth says the home appears to be a total loss.
