(NewsDakota.com) The Oakes High School wrestling team and basketball teams are in action the next couple of days.

The wrestlers head to Lisbon on Friday afternoon/evening and all day Saturday for the Nick Storhaug Invitational. Over 20 teams from three different states will be participating.

The boys basketball team goes up against F-C-T this evening in Oakes, as both teams look for their first win in District 1 play. Both teams are 1-10 overall, and Oakes is 0-4 in District 1, while the Rebels are 0-3 in district play.

The girls and boys basketball teams head to LaMoure on Saturday to play a double header against the Loboes in non-district matchups.

Coverage on KDDR-AM 1220 and NewsDakota.com starts at 4:45 with wrestling, and the boys game vs F-C-T to follow, then a final recap of day one from Lisbon. On Saturday, coverage with wrestling starts at 9:15 a.m., and once wrestling is done, basketball from LaMoure will be on the air.
