Schuldt, age 57, of Valley City died Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Sanford Hospital Palliative Care.  Memorial Services will be conducted at 2PM Thursday, May 12, 2016 at the Lerud-Schuldt Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Montecuello officiating.  Inurnment will be in Woodbine Cemetery.

Denise Emma Schuldt was born July 26, 1958 at Valley City, ND the daughter of Delbert and Betty (Leaver) Schuldt.  She lived  for a time at Eckelson, ND and then the family moved to Valley City when she was quite young.  She attended grade school and high school at Valley City.  She then lived for a time in Montana.  Upon returning to Valley City she was employed at Case/Vansco/Parker where she assembled circuit boards.  Eight years ago she started working at the Open Door Center.  Denise loved to play cards, especially pinochle and did crafts.  She also knitted and crocheted gifts for family and friends. She liked to bake and was always bringing something to share with her friends and clients at work.

Denise is survived by her son, Jesse of Valley City, ND; two sisters, Diane (Jerry) Alkire, Laurel, MT and Donna Amann, Valley City, ND; a brother, David of Valley City, ND; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. (Oh, and we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention her 20+ year-old cat, Oliver.)  She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to charities in Denise’s memory.
