N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown Firefighters were called to a home fire early Tuesday morning that has displaced a family.

Crews were called at 2:05 AM May 26th to a home fire in the 600 block of 1st Street West. Lt. Sheldon Mohr with the department stated that firefighters arrived to the scene of heavy smoke coming from the home.

4 people have been displaced temporarily from the home after significant smoke and fire damage occurred. Lt. Mohr stated that the department wants to do an investigation before they determine what caused the fire.

Fire crews were on the scene for nearly 3 hours. Officials say the home will be able to be re-occupied. Red Cross Spokesman Brian Shaw says the home will not be livable for sometime, but belongings in the home were not lost.
