N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The man who led Jamestown Police on a high speed chase through Jamestown has been charged in Southeast District Court.
32 year-old Wesley Alan Cody of Bismarck was charged with several counts after fleeing from officers, speeding through Jamestown with speeds reaching up to 60 mph. Cody crashed the reportedly stolen pickup, causing the vehicle to become stuck in fencing wire. Officers caught Cody less than a block away in the Ottertail Power Company parking lot.
Cody is being charged with theft of property and fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, Class C felonies; theft of property, a Class B misdemeanor; and false reports to law enforcement or other security officials and reckless endangerment, both Class A misdemeanors.
