Lackman, 72, of Jamestown, ND, passed away Monday morning, April 11, 2016 at the North Dakota Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Fargo, ND.

Paul Lackman was born on July 21, 1943, near Rothsay, MN, the son of Alex and Marie (Derr) Lackman. The family moved to Edgeley, ND when he was 9 years old and Paul graduated from Edgeley High School.  He married Barbara Klein on September 10, 1965 in Aberdeen, SD.  On February 4, 1966, Paul entered the US Navy and served stateside during the Vietnam Conflict.  He was honorably discharged on November 9, 1969.  The family moved to Jamestown where Paul was a calibration inspector for Western Gear for many years, retiring in 2009.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his pastime.

Paul was a member of Sertoma, the American Legion, and the Vets club.

Paul is survived by his wife, Barb Lackman; sons, Jeff and Jamie; daughter, Kathy (Rod) Wanamaker and their children, Taylor and Ethan; brother, Ruben (Lois) Lackman; sisters, Rebecca (Dick) Olson, Laurine (Gene) Olson, and Leah Jaeger; brother-in-law, Robert McDonald; sisters-in-law, Mary Lackman and Pat Lackman.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Bette McDonald; brothers, Manuel Lackman and Bruce Lackman; brother-in-law, Clarence Jaeger; infant daughter, Lori; and his parents, Alex and Marie Lackman.

Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 15, 2016 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, with Pastor James Desai officiating.

Visitation: One hour before the service at the funeral home.

Interment: 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 18, 2016 at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND.
