N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – It’s election time and individuals are tossing their hats into the ring for several seats opening up in both the Jamestown City Council and Stutsman County Commission.
According to city officials, three city council seats will be up for election. Current council members Steve Brubakken, Dan Buchanan, and Charlie Kourajian will be reaching the end of their term this year. Brubakken and Buchanan will be re-running for their seats and Kourajian will not.
There are currently 5 individuals seeking a seat. They include Brubakken, Buchanan, Jeff Schwind, Pamela Phillips and Phillip Wallace
There will be two seats opening up in the Stutsman County Commission this year. Mark Klose and David Schwartz will reach the end of their term, but have filed to re-run for another term. Nellie Degen and Tim Greshik will be running for those open seats this year.
The deadline to file positions to run for elected offices will be June 14th at 4:00 PM.
