N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A 15 year-old girl was not injured after losing control on an icy Highway near Kindred Friday morning.

According to Sgt. Tom Herzig with the NDHP, 15 year-old Karli Brakke of Hickson, ND was traveling westbound on Highway 46 two miles east of Kindred when she attempted to pass another vehicle. Ice-covered roadways caused Brakke to lose control of the vehicle. The F-150 slid into the north ditch, rolled and came to rest on its wheels.

The icy conditions were caused due an earlier snow fall that had melted. Brakke was wearing her seatbelt and the crash remains under investigation.
