S.D. – The North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) has announced its first edition of the Women’s Outdoor Track & Field weekly honor Tuesday. Seri Geisler of Valley City State (N.D.) was selected to Field Athlete-of-the-Week.  There were no nominees for the Athlete-of-the-Week.

Seri Geisler – Valley City State (N.D.) – Freshman – Grand Rapids, Minn. – Geisler of Valley City State (N.D.) won the javelin throw and had two ‘Top 3’ place finishes at NCAA Division II Black Hills State (S.D.) Yellow Jackets Spring Open.  She made her collegiate debut in the javelin event, throwing a measurement of 39.05 meters (128 feet, 1 inch) which is just 0.11 meters away for qualifying to NAIA nationals.  Geisler added a third-place finish in the shot put (12.66 meters) and sixth-place in the discus throw (31.85 meters).
