N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown Fire Crews were called to the Econo Lodge Monday evening after 911 calls reported flames coming from the front of the building.
When crews arrived at around 7:50 PM last night, the fire had been put out with an extinguisher. Firefighters sprayed down the area to ensure the fire was out and the scene was cleared at around 8:09 PM.
The cause of the fire is being attributed to smoking materials. The Fire Department will be meeting with the Econo Lodge staff to discuss evacuation procedures as the hotel had not been properly evacuated for safety.
