N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – America’s Farmers Grow Rural Education is back and partnering with area farmers to help local public school districts compete for grants.

The grant money is made available from the Monsanto Fund, which has several programs. Farmers in the area are asked to nominate an eligible school of their choice to receive a grant ranging from $10,000 to $25,000 that will be used for math and science education. Customer Advocacy Manager Heather Wolfe stated that farmers have until April 1st to nominate a school.

Schools then have until April 15th to fill out the application for the grant. Wolfe stated that 8 schools received grants last year with two of them being from the area.
