N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A summer camp that serves children and adults with various disabilities and special needs is geared up and ready for their 2016 summer camp season.
Elks Camp Grassick was first established in the 1920’s and holds six sessions over the summer near Dawson, North Dakota. Dan Mimnaugh has been the camp’s director since 1980 and says it’s the Elks largest project.
Mimnaugh stated that the camp’s six different sessions are held to focus on the needs of that specific group.
The camp is also looking for volunteers. Mimnaugh stated that college students, graduates or those interested in the special needs fields are more than welcome to work at the camp.
Staff Orientation begins June 1st and the camp begins June 5th. For more information, click here.
