N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department has released their run report for the week of March 3rd through the 11th.

According to Fire Chief Jim Reuther’s recent report, the department has responded to a total of 48 calls over the course of 2016. The report explains the cause of the fire that displaced a family during the early morning hours of last Tuesday’s fire. Other calls responded to include smoke reports and kitchen appliance malfunctions.

March 7th, 3:58PM, fire department responded to 309 23rd Ave NE, Single Family Dwelling, to a report of smoking appliance. Firefighters exhausted smoke from the structure and investigated. Cause-kitchen appliance malfunction. No injuries reported. Time out 30 minutes.

March 8th, 1:47AM, fire department responded to 614 9th Ave SE, Single Family Dwelling, to a report fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire and investigated. Cause-fire pit on deck. No injuries were reported. Time out 2 hours 15 minutes.

March 9th, 1:10AM, ready squad responded 5855 3rd St SE, Cavendish Farms, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-testing system. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 20 minutes.

March 9th, 3:53PM, ready squad responded to 1009 Western Park Village, Single Family Dwelling, to a investigate odor smell. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-burnt plastic. Time out 15 minutes.

March 10th, 6:46AM, ready squad responded to 2509 Circle Drive, NDSH-LRC Building, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-burnt food. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 40 minutes.

March 11th, 12:23AM, ready squad responded to 1012 10th Ave NE, Multi Family Dwelling, to a report of smoke coming from smoking material receptacle. Firefighters extinguished a small fire. Cause-discarded smoking materials. Time out 20 minutes.
