(NewsDakota.com) The regular season and post-season champions of District 5 and 6 will meet Thursday at the Jamestown Civic Center to be crowned the Class B Region III Boys Basketball Champions after winning their semifinal contests Tuesday night.

Edgeley-Kulm-Montpeiler 63 Linton-Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock 31

The District 5 Champions were able to roll past the Lions mainly because of field goal percentage: 50 percent to 16 percent. EKM also ended up outscoring Linton 37-5 in the second and fourth quarters. 

EKM had 18 points from Tanner Zahn. Linton had a team high 18 points from Erik Holzer.

Strasburg/Zeeland 56 South Border 37

The District 6 Champions pulled away in the second half, converting on 63 percent of their shots from the field, while the Mustangs mustered just 27 percent shooting.

Brody Nieuwsma scored 23 points in the victory, while Hunter Pinke netted 13 in the loss.

The third place game between the Lions and Mustangs will take place Thursday night at 6, with the Region III Championship featuring the Rebels and Clippers starting 20 minutes after.
